Renting an Island

Island owners (ISLAND NFT holders), can rent their island to other players. In return for paying rent in $DGOLD, the tenant gets full access to the island for a set duration.
The tenant keeps all the materials mined and a percentage of the $NUGGETS and $DGOLD.

Renting out an island

  • The island owner of the island will set the status of the island to “Available to rent”
  • The island owner will select the percentage split of $NUGGETS mined. The default is 30% to the island owner, 70% to the tenant
  • The island owner will select the duration of the rental period from 30 days to indefinite
  • The island is then available on the Degen Islands Marketplace for other players to find
  • The owner sets a rental cost in $DGOLD that is paid monthly

The default $NUGGET split is:
  • 30% to the island owner
  • 70% to the tenant

End of the tenancy

At the end of the rental agreement the tenant is removed from the island and control of the island returned to the island owner. Any materials, props or $NUGGETS left behind by the previous tenant becomes the property of the island owner.
